We are dedicating the La Plata Spring Railfan Event 2015 to the memory of Winston Walker. We wish you were here with us and you are truly missed. I met Jim Choinere in the lobby at 6:00 AM and we drove out to Orrick, passing a Wabash caboose and found our way out to the Santa Fe bridge on which I reached my One Millionth Rail Mile. This was my first time visiting this spot to photograph trains crossing the bridge. We did not have long to wait.
Amtrak's Southwest Chief train 4 crossed the Santa Fe Railroad Missouri River bridge just east of Sibley.
Next BNSF 8264 West came to a stop. This is the biggest bottleneck on the entire BNSF railroad.
