Riding the Train to the NASCAR Race at Sears Point Part 2 6/22/2014

by Chris Guenzler

The train delivered us to Sears Point where Dave, Steve and I walked to the race. The California Highway Patrol stopped the highway traffic for us and we walked into the Sears Point Race Track. Our first order of business was to pick up our trip T-shirts and once that was done, I got a Coca-Cola before walking with my Pit Pass down to Pit Row to have a good look at the race cars.

The 7 Car was driven by Michael Annett. From Pit Row I went to get a hot dog for lunch then found my seat to watch the pre-race activities.

Richard Petty was introduced. Next they had a hot dog-eating contest.

A 14-year-old girl won this by eating 40 hot dogs. I could never do that! Now we would have our next pre-race event.
