by Chris Guenzler

Union Pacific 5634 East heads to West Colton.

BNSF 7747 East came around Sullivan's Curve.

Union Pacific 5429 East came to a stop four cars short of clearing our only way out. We hiked back into Sullivan's Curve.

BNSF 4054 West in Sullivan's Curve.

BNSF 6769 East at Sullivan's Curve.

Union Pacific 5422 West with DPU 8087 at Sullivan's Curve.

BNSF 7533 East at Sullivan's Curve. Union Pacific 5429 East finally left Canyon and we escaped. There was a major accident on Interstate 5 so we came out to Cajon after crossing through the waters of Cajon Creek. We took the old US 66 to get by the accident then I took Bill through Devore which he had never been through before. We went down Cajon Blvd then back on Interstate 215 to Interstate 10 exited at Rancho Ave then went over to where Colton Crossing once was.

BNSF 7268 West went under the Union Pacific mainline at Colton.

BNSF 7126 West went under the Union Pacific mainline at Colton.

BNSF 5007 East went under the Union Pacific mainline. As it was moving Union Pacific 8344 East crossed over the rear of the BNSF 5007 East. From here we made a stop at the Downtown Riverside Metrolink Station.

RBRX F59PH 18533 was at the Downtown Riverside Station. From here we followed the Union Pacific mainline {old LA&SL} through Pomona then we went to the Rail Giants Museum in Pomona so I could show Bill the Big Boy 4014 while it was still there. Bill had never visited this museum.

This is what you first see as you enter the Rail Giants Museum in Pomona.

Big Boy 4014 has been moved a few track panels away from where we did the night photo session with it.

The Union Pacific Steam Staff is working hard to make the engine ready for the move back to Cheyenne.

The Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 sign at the Rail Giants Museum. From here Bill took me home to Santa Ana ending another great trip together to see trains.
