We were still on our way to MP 133 as we approached Vinton.
This looked as though it was a railroad bridge over Wolf Creek but is really a road bridge. We ran through La Porte City and stopped at a grade crossing just south of MP 133 for a photo runby and lined up along the dirt road here, making a prefect photo line.

We then made our way back to Cedar Rapids. A special thank you to the entire NRHS convention staff for yet another excellent trip. I was driven back back to the Motel 6 by Don and Debbie Crimmin while Nathan took the bus back. I uploaded the stories and called Winston to proof them while I would be busy tonight.
That is what happened at the 2012 NRHS Cedar Rapids convention on this date.
The Beloit Snappers vs. the Cedar Rapids Kernels 6/23/2012Nathan and I drove over to the Veterans Memorial Stadium for this evening's minor league baseball game between the Beloit Snappers (a Minor League Baseball team of the Midwest League and the High-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins) and the Cedar Rapids Kernels (another team in the Midwest League and the High-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins). The Snappers won 1-0 and after the game, we enjoyed a fantastic and best fireworks show I have ever seen, then returned to the Motel 6 where I put the corrections in my story then called it a night.
