4/7/2012 I arose early and worked on finishing the other story from yesterday.
The pictures on the walls in the Pullman Suite. After listening to some CDs, I met Nathan Chidester and after looking at the Doppler Radar, I changed the plan and we headed for Gibbs, deciding to go to the Cranberry Lane bridge over the BNSF mainline.
Union Pacific 5521 East. We relocated to the Century Lane grade crossing just west of Gibbs.
BNSF 7317 West.
BNSF 7317 East. We then returned to Banner Road.
We caught the train end of this eastbound.
BNSF 7507 East at Banner Road just as the rains began. We returned to the Depot Inn & Suites to pick up a few needed items before driving over to the Chris Guenzler Million Mile Lookout Point to do the Let's Talk Trains show at noon, arriving there just before the rain started again and set up for the show.
The Southwest Chief came by first on a dark morning, leaving La Plata almost on time.
BNSF 7201 West almost snuck by us.
BNSF 7835 East came next.

BNSF 7378 East.
BNSF 5461 East with CSX 5355. Ted Picraux, another of the Let's Talk Trains hosts, arrived.
