Chessie System B&O Bay Window Caboose: This is a Walthers
kit that originally came as a C&O bay window caboose.
The C&O did have a few bays but the B&O had tons. I used
Polly Scale ELO (Easy Lift Off) to remove the factory
lettering except the green safety cross and black square decals.
I then applied Herald King decals for the "B&O", "C-3746",
and "Chessie System". I painted the trim orange (it was too red),
the underside blue (it was black). The end rails on
B&O cabeese were either white or orange. I painted these
white. I also painted all of the window frames silver and
weathered the roof. This is not an accurate kit, but for a stand
in bay window it is OK. The window placement is wrong
for a B&O bay window caboose. Noone makes an accurate kit
in plastic in HO scale. For now this will have to do.
