Scale House, Hancock, WV
This little building is a long time landmark in Hancock. It is a
scale house, used to house the operator of the scales. It has an
addition today and is painted CSX gray and blue, but in the Chessie era
it was this big and had the classic all over cream paint scheme of
B&O structures. It is scratchbuilt with Evergreen novelty
siding, wood trim and Grandt line windows. Below the shot of the
finished shed is one of it prior to painting and adding the flood
lights.
Below is a shot of the real scale house around 2002. Note
the extension in the back ground, that was added post Chessie era.
