Below we see 3042 working alone pulling a cut of airslide
covered hoppers. This was the most common paint job for C&O GP30s.
The B&O never painted any of their locomotives like this. Note
the ACI card is still attached on the side sill under the "30" in the road
number. Many C&O GP30s lasted in this paint into the 1980's.

step is covered in dirt, a normal occurance on all locomotives.
