Canterbury Railway Society Inc News Ferrymead Station Building Repainted 24/1/2002 The Ferrymead Station building on the Ferrymead Railway has been repainted during January 2002. The station was last repainted in 1988 in preparation for that year's Ferrymead 125 rail heritage festival. The colour scheme chosen is representative of a 19th century colour scheme used on the old NZR. To date most of the exterior and the roof are complete. The inside will then be carried out. It is also proposed to make changes to the display of publications for sale in the station, to remove the 4 lever signal frame to the outside of the station building, and to relocate the tablet machine to make more room inside.
