CRS Member Dies In Christchurch

A member of the Canterbury Railway Society, John Clarence Eriksen, died in Christchurch on Thursday 17 August. John joined our Society around 1990 after employment at Addington Workshops. In addition to regularly attending work parties on the Ferrymead Railway, he also appeared on the running roster as a guard and fireman. Several years ago he lost a leg in a motor vehicle accident, but continued to attend Ferrymead during the week. The funeral is to be held on 22 August.
