General News - April 2002
20/4/2002
- W 192 is having the drop grate replaced after the old one burnt through. CB 113 replaced W 192 on scheduled running on 21st April.
- D 26 exterior is now virtually complete apart from the end platforms. The interior is still to be fitted out although all the window shutters are complete. The underframe requires work also.
- The Diesel Traction Group has removed most of their spare parts from the carriage shed.
- The carriage shed is being partly cleared in conjunction with the fitting of front doors. The side wall alongside the workshop is also to be closed in with concrete to be poured at the base of the wall so a further tidyup is needed there.
- A single stroke bell has been fitted by the signals crew at the pedestrian crossing in Moorhouse yard.
- The Society's AGM will be held in April. Only financial members of the Society are entitled to vote in any election of officers. Notice has been sent out with Branchlines to current members.
