F 2482 and X 442 in front of the Ferrymead Railway workshop in June 2001. The 37 1/2 foot steel F van, which was obtained minus running gear, had recently been moved to the workshop to have replacement bogies and running gear fitted. The X was placed there for an inspection prior to its possible towage to Feilding. As it transpired, the locomotive is now expected to go north by road.
