Santa Fe Intermodal Yard in San Bernardino

The switchers a GP30u (at left hand side) and a Dash- 8 indicate the power needed for switching on this big intermodal yard. Where some years ago a pair of GP20s would do, now this combination of 7,000 hp nearly doubled the horsepower.
