Change of Seasons

Spring is here.
.

A switch job is waiting by mile 81 east of the historic Bancroft depot in Plover, Wisconsin.

.

A few weeks ago, the Wisconsin River was frozen in Rapids.

.

.

A few days later, the sun and wind opens up half of the Wisconsin River.
The 4620 is on the same job at the same time.

.

And after some rain and wind, the river is open.
The blue GMTX 200 makes a short appearance in a snowy mist at the Rapids paper mill.

.

And the sun still sets, which is the time the sand train comes into Rapids from Taylor.

.

.

The mallards are back.

And the ice fishing is always best just before the ice goes out.
Even if you have to take a boat to the ice.
