Autumn ended and there's snow on the rails now

I dug my old polarizing filter out of the old 35mm bag
and stuck it over the digital camera lens
and jazzed up the Autumn colors.

Autumn was late by two weeks this year,
but it did end.

Regardless of the colors, the days did get shorter.
I have to practice night photography again.

The Biron job crosses the Wisconsin River on a windy gray morning.

And a few mornings later we had single digit temperatures and the river froze.
It was unusual this year because for a few days there was ice without snow on top hiding it.

It did snow. And then it even rained on top of the snow.
But surprisingly, there is still enough snow to make the fields white in central Wisconsin.
