This is the final days of our vacation to southeastern Wisconsin.
There's a UP switch job at Harvest States.
And two miles south of there is a junction at Bain Station Road.
I think there is a cross-town industrial track between the main and the oldest main that is by downtown.
An evening switch job is coming west back to the main. There's liquid sugar tank cars.
Just south of the junction is the track to Pleasant Prairie power plant
Bain Station Road is to the left of this picture of the plant
The interesting angles of the coal dumper and conveyors are hid behind the boiler house.
There is a a lot of track here. The plant sits between the Soo (Milw) and the UP (cnw) mainlines.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . And there's a track that wanders from one side to the other.
We made a quick stop at the Sturtevant Railroad museum
We had lots of time and got to see many angles of the scenery.
I have gone back to an old photo program to get smaller file sizes for pictures for a web page.
Some might get blurry if you zoom in a lot. But it saves space for the server and downloads very fast.
If you want the full size picture, please contact me. An e-address is in the box on my index page.
