Saturday Trains in Stevens Point Wisconsin

Here's just a 45 minute train tour of Stevens Point on January 21st, 2012.

I find the trees are tall and the shadows are long in the middle of the day.
The contrast is too much for my little camera.

I noticed an early-afternoon switch job backing along Tommy's Turnpike, going to Neenah Paper's Whiting mill.

.

.

I might get better pictures when I'm not shooting into the bright sun,
and could do more when the weather is warmer than 15 degrees F.

.

The ex-GBW near the brewery hasn't been used, as usual in the winter.
Maybe there will be a springtime delivery of tankers to Koch Asphalt.

.

An eastbound train of all containers stretches from the depot to the Plover River bridge.
The two red lights make a nice rear-end marker. It ain't a caboose, but it's more interesting than a FRED.

.

. . . . . . . just one engine on the front.

.

Two westbounds are at Hoover Ave east of the yard. In the shade of tall pines.

.

On the yard lead is EJE 659. So that makes two orange loco's in the area.
(I think something changed by the next week, and I don't know how many J's are here now.)

.

And the job from Plover is on the P-line, waiting to cross over from Patch Street

.

.

And the Central Wisconsin Model Railroaders hosted the Artic Run Model Railroad Show at the Holiday Inn.
. . . . Lots of (little) trains.
