December 17-18th, 2011; Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA.
No snow yet. Not a typical winter yet.
There was a high-wide load in the Stevens Point yard.
The lights are all green for the B-yard switches
The IC sw7M is still paired up with a GT.
A big AC is doing some yard chores, and the little CN 4100 is parked.
The CN / WC 1570 is on the P-line and holding at Patch Street
until they can cross the main to get to the yard and the paper mill.
On Sunday, December 18th, we got some sunshine.
The 1570 was headed from Plover to Point again, at 11am.
And the EJE 660 was on the rear.
Maybe half of the cars would be for the paper mill, and the others go to the yard.
By combining both switch jobs into one,
they both get from the P-line to the yard on one train order when they cross the main line.
Then they can split up into their separate jobs.
Now it's just a few days before Christmas.
We had a 1/2 inch of snow, and the temperatures are in the 20's and low 30's F.
I wish you a Merry Christmas.
I even took time to dust off the tracks on the model railroad, and am glad it still works.
