Bricklayers Arms: Rotherhithe Road Sidings

 


Rotherhithe New Road Carriage Sidings

This is the original wall in Rotherhithe New Road, marking the northern end of the Rotherhithe Road Carriage Sidings. The brick buildings are part of the Enterprise Industrial Estate which was built when the railway complex was cleared away.

You can see how the site is sandwiched between the two different railway companies' lines; at the top of the picture is the span of the bridge carrying the South London Line, whilst on the left is the South Eastern Railway viaduct .



This picture is taken from a train on the bridge overhead in the previous picture (South London Lines). The Carriage Sidings occupied the area covered by the two red brick buildings of the Enterprise Estate.
