about Brian Thompson

I am a professional photographer based in Brantford,
Ontario. As you can well imagine by now, I
like trains! So when I'm not photographing whatever will pay the bills, or glamour photography which is a sideline for me, I
try to make a few train pictures when I can. Sometimes I'll drag
the family along on a day off for a drive in the country, near
railroad tracks if I can help it!
My wife Donna records engine
numbers and other vital railfanning stats; Justin (age 12) likes
to count the cars, and Lisa (age 15) is at the age now where
she'd rather hang out with her friends than see trains.

- I am also an HO scale modeller, with an
small, modular layout under construction in the basement.
I'm a big Erie-Lackawanna Railroad fan, and I'm trying to
recreate the Bloomsburg Branch, which ran southwest from
Scranton, PA in the mid-1960's era.
- I also enjoy playing PC games such as
Command & Conquer: Red Alert, and X-Wing vs. Tie
Fighter.
- Lately I've been devoting more time to
doing glamour photography & model portfolio's. A bit
more interesting than trains, though I haven't given up
on them completely!
