The Northern Plains Railroad (NPR) started in 1997 and now leases 388 miles
of CP Rail (CPR) track in northeast North Dakota and east to Thief River Falls,
MN. NPR interchanges with CPR Kenmare, ND, and Thief River Falls and with
BNSF near Grand Forks, ND. Grains are their primary commodities hauled.
