Duluth Winnipeg and Pacific (DWP) is a subsidiary of Canadian National
Railway
and operates on 167 miles of trackage in NE Minnesota between Duluth
and DWP Junction near International Falls, MN, where trains continue
to Winnipeg, AB (Canada). Since CN purchased IC, these
DWP road locomotives now roam the entire system. Primary
southbound cargo's are: lumber, grain, potash, newsprint, and
petroleum. CN
officially retired the DWP name at the end of 2011.
