CIT Group/Capital [Equipment] Finance, Inc (CITX/CEFX) is another player in the leased locomotive arena. They list 500-600 locomotives and formerly used the CEFX reporting mark. Locomotives 1501 & 2005 shown below are quite unique. First, they were a new locomotive on the market. Secondly, they were manufactured by Motive Power Inc. (MPI) in Boise, Montana; and marketed by EMD.
