Los Angeles
Union Passenger Terminal. Photographs and history of the elegant facility which
serves as the western terminal for the Texas Eagle-California Service.
Metro Red
Line. A source of helpful information for using the Red Line subway which serves
Union Station.
Angel's
Flight. The famous incline railway, billed as "The World's Shortest Railway," which
was originally built soon after the turn of the century. The line was dismantled and stored
for over two decades before being restored and rebuilt in the mid-1990s.
Philippe's the Original -- Home of the original
French Dip
sandwich. (1001 North Alameda Street, Los Angeles. Phone: 213-628-3781) The decor of this
restaurant includes
a variety of old photos, some of which are of railroad subjects.
Other restaurants are located on Olvera
Street , a short
distance from Union Station. Restaurants within Union Station include the Union Bagel Shop and
TRAXX
restaurant.
