Notes
AA cars were assigned to Superwood to protect pool route loadings. Superwood shipped a number of carloads of hardboard, for automotive use, each month to locations on the AA and the GTW in Michigan points, thus the reason for GTW all-door boxcars and AA bulkhead flatcars being assigned to Superwood, Duluth, MN. Routed: BN - E. Winona, MN > GBW > AA - Frankfort, MI to Michigan points. Hardboard - produced first by the Mansonite Coporateion in 1926. Hardboard is commonly and incorrectly called "masonite" by most people. |
