The two new locomotives on the Annie were previously on the UP and before that the MKT. They are both GP 39-2's. I took these pictures in Toledo as the locomotives were prepared for work. #2373 arrived in fresh UP paint, except that the trucks were painted with the same gray paint as the lower part of the body, and that is not the true UP color scheme. Some paint shop got lazy, is my guess, because they knew it would never operate on the UP again at the time of its painting. The second locomotive was in rough shape, paint-wise, and has been repainted in true UP colors. The new logo for the the Annie is underneath the window of the cabs. I asked, and yes it is the new logo.
