INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORDERING PARTS
This catalog contains drawings of general application to machines of this model and may not show your machine accurately in all details. All orders are entered for parts to fit the machine of which you give the shop number, and parts will be supplied to fit the machine even if the illustrations in this catalog do not show them quite as they actually appear on the machine.
When entering a repair order, we must have the following information:
Always give the number of the drawing on which you find the name of the part.
If more than one part of the same name is shown on the drawing, as for instance, several shafts, with drums, gears, friction clutches and brakes, be sure to make clear which part is desired.
Be sure to indicate whether shipment is to be made by freight, express or parcel post and give destination. If there are any special routing instructions or invoicing instructions please mention them in each order.

RIGHT AND LEFT:
As you stand at the boiler and face towards the boom, parts to the right are called right hand and those to the left and called left hand.
FRONT AND REAR:
The boom end of the machine is called the front end and the boiler end is called the rear end. On small revolving machines the propelling axle is at the rear end of the truck frame. On large revolting machines the equalizing beam is at the front of the base.
BUCKETS, BOILERS, ETC.
As buckets, boilers, light plants, electric motors and appliances, lubricators, oil pumps, water pumps and coal hoist engines may have been changed since the machine left the plant, it is important that all information appearing on the name plates attached to them be given when ordering parts.
ORDERING PARTS NOT NAMED IN THIS CATALOG:
Because of the general application of these drawings, we have not attemped to show all of the parts on your machine but have shown the parts which are most commonly required for repairs. If you are in need of a part not shown, please tell us to what unit the part belongs and give a description of where it is located and with what parts it works or is connected.
