Notes: Original F &PM branch to Harrison crossed the F&PM mainline 2.7 miles to the west of the present C&O/AA diamond, line was relocated to run along the north side of the T, AA & NM line by the T, AA& NM Railway into Clare by join agreement to eliminate an interlockingpoint. 2 stops, passengerThe TSBY firstconstructed with MDOT funding the “reload” on the former “Stock Track” inClare back in 1987 or 1988. The entiretrack was removed and rebuild with new cross ties and relay rail. The old freight house had to be removed(the south wall lettering is displayed at Shepherd depot). This was for BeavertonPlastics in Clare. The first loadswere plastic pellets – then “Specialty Sands” for UnimumCorporation with the sand coming from Illinoisand used in the oil and gas industry. Semi-truck can pull along side of hopper cars for unloading orloading. When the CSXTabandoned the line through Clare the TSBY acquired that portion of the remainingpassing track and some mainline. The “Shredder”operation on the west end, the facility holds about 30 hoppers on two tracks. And an “Industrial Park” on the east end was the motives for the purchase. |
