The AA have scrapped or sold all steam engines except the three shown above. These three, Nos. 2480, 2481, and 2482 are being preserved for emergencies and for purpose of hauling the football specials, as the new diesels are not equipped with steam line for passenger operation.
The C&O trains, specials Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 7 came from Columbus, over the C&O Walbridge, over Penna tracks from there to Galena St., where AA crews took over.
Nos. 1 and 5 were NYC trains from Cleveland and Erie.
No. 6 was AA special and originated at Cherry St. station.
