ALL CONCERN:
Our attention has been called to instances of chains holding autos on trailers being found loose.
All employees should closely observe fastenings of autos on trailers, as well as the general condition of loads – fastenings of trailers on flat cars, etc. to avoid possibility of accident or damage to these very valuable loads.
Tightening of chains can easily be accomplished and bars for that purpose are in holders at various locations on the highway trailers.
