TRAIN AND YARD CREWS:

You will recall a recent circular about the serious damage and threatened loss of newsprint traffic if rough handling is not overcome.

We are receiving a quite substantial movement of newsprint from the Wabash at Milan for the Toledo Blade, Toledo.  Some of these cars are arriving Toledo with crushed cores, flat spots on the rolls, and other evidence of severe impacts.

It is very important that the handling of these cars be as careful as possible and well within the 4 MAH maximum for coupling and impact speed.  Your close attention will help us keep this traffic on the rails.
