Toledo, Saginaw and Muskegon - Train Orders
Now comes the good part, I found these Form 31 train orders from Sheridan in
April of 1914 for meets at Sheridan.
The first one is on April 11th, a
Saturday, and shows Second No. 472, with a double header, meeting No. 471 at
11:11am.
It appears that second sections of the wayfreights were common in this era.
Also the TS&M started running a motor car from Ashley to Muskegon and back
as trains 43 and 44 in January of 1914. It seems that the TS&M was a lot
busier than I first thought! Engines 2269 and 2281 were listed on three trains
each during this period.
The next train order on Wednesday April 15th has Second No. 472 meeting
Second No. 471 at 1:39pm.
The third train order from April 24th, a Friday, shows Second No. 471 having
rights over Second 472 between Carson City and Sheridan.
The last train order dated April 30th a Thrusday has trains first and second
472 meeting train 471 at sheridan.
