This car has quite a storied history having been one of the first full-length dome cars built in America! It was originally built as Milwaukee Road #52 for use on their famous Olympian Hiawatha train from Chicago to Seattle. The car also operated in Canada with Canadian National and later Via Rail Canada as #2405 and was named Columbia. The car also operated on Pricess Cruises Alaska tour trains as car #800481. Amtrak operated this car for a period of time on its Auto Train as Dome-Buffet-Lounge Car #9311 (prior to Amtrak equipping the Auto Train with Superliners). Riding in a dome car is a truly unique experience that you will never forget! It provides some of the best views from the train while enjoying the world class cuisine you will have on the wine train!

This car (like the rest of the train) is tastefully decorated with beautiful woodwork and has a great staff who work extremely hard to provide the world class experience you get on the train!
