This car was originally built as a Dome/Observation/Lounge car for the Canadian Pacific Railway. Later conveyed to VIA, this series of cars came to be known as "Park" dome cars as they are named after some of Canada's National Parks, this one being named after Evangeline Park which is located in Kentville, Nova Scotia.
