Originally built as a 62 seat coach for the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Railway, this car was conveyed to Amtrak in 1971 and numbered 5420. It was converted into a high-capacity coach by Amtrak in 1974 and renumbered 6077. Amtrak retired the car in October 1981 and it later operated on the American Zephyr as well as Rail/Sea Cruises trains both carrying the Amtrak number 6077 on the car.
