"Go-Loco" Engine Ride Photos: Saint Helena Including Run-Around Move
Approaching the big crossing with Route 29, now in Saint Helena.

Just after crossing Route 29, we pass by the Whitehall Lane Winery & Vineyards.

The Del Dotto Winery is seen across the street now that we're on the other side of Route 29.

Now about to cross Zinfandel Lane, we see the Saint Helena sign!

Now passing by the V. Sattui Winery which features wine tasting and picnics!

Loving the palm trees at the Heitz Cellar Winery!

That is one giant bunny!!! Meet "Bunny Foo Foo" located outside the Hall Wines vineyard in Saint Helena. According to the Napa Valley Register
newspaper, this was designed by artist Lawrence Argent and is 35 feet tall and made of 3.3 metric tons of stainless steel. It got its name from a
children's poem. It was placed here in 2014.

An old siding outside the Louis M. Martini Winery.

This sign welcomes you to Saint Helena, and there are lots of signs like it welcoming you to small towns all over the country!

Approaching Dowdell Lane and the VGS Chateau Potelle Winery.

Now entering the Saint Helena Yard Limit.

Gott's Roadside, a great place for a burger, and a glass of Chardonnay to wash it down!

Our neighbor since Napa, Route 29 curves away from the main line and continues onto Calistoga and points north.

Crossing another small (and probably dry) creek before crossing Pope Street ahead.

Approaching Adams Street and the Saint Helena Station!

This is the siding the train will use for the run-around move to put the power on the other end of the train for the ride back to Napa.

The Napa Valley Wine Train's Saint Helena Station. Though passengers don't detrain here, just north of the station, passengers who have purchased
a Castle Winery Tour will detrain and ride a motorcoach to that tour.

A former Southern Pacific Class C-40-5 Bay-Window Caboose sits on a piece of panel track near the Saint Helena Station.

Crossing Fulton Avenue, we see the end of the line with the little red marker between the rails marking the end of the track. The power will go just
north of the switch ahead, then back down the siding to the other end of the train.

Now pulled up past the switch and ready now to do the run-around move, here is the end of the track, though the track itself does go past the
marker for another half a mile or so. This line originally ran all the way to Calistoga.

Looking south back at the run-around siding.

Now passing the train during the run-around move. The Chardonnay Lounge will now have an unobstructed view from the platform on the end of
the car with the power on the other end of the train.

What a beautiful train in the fall colors of Napa Valley!

Getting to the other end of the train, past the Vista Dome, my favorite car in the consist, and the one I'll be riding in tomorrow!

Now getting ready to connect to the Cabernet Sauvignon Lounge Car for the trip back to Napa.

We officially have railfans on the train today!

Now off the train, I'll head to the "Le Petit Gourmet" Car for the ride back to Napa and for the Gourmet Express Lunch!
