Pacific Surfliner Train #799 arriving in San Luis Obispo. This was the only Surfliner train operating with single-level equipment. This train terminated in San Luis Obispo and would go back south again as Train #798.

and carries passengers north to Atascadero & Paso Robles, CA.

Just a short walk from the Amtrak Station, you'll see this display which is in front of the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum.

This small station building has an Amtrak sign on it but I'm not sure what its used for as it's fenced off.

Now back to the Amtrak trains!!! Here's Train #14, the northbound Coast Starlight having just arrived in San Luis Obispo.

And arriving just after #14 is #11, the southbound Coast Starlight!!!

I traveled 3000 miles on Amtrak to see this!!! We have a meet of Coast Starlights and here's the proof!!!

They actually unloaded #11's passengers through #14's doors so they could get to the station!

This display of the Iron Road Pioneers is located near the tracks in the Historic Railroad District.
