An "Inside" View Of Amtrak

Business Class Seating (The video screens were not functioning during the trip).

Another view of the seating.

The self-service food area where coffee and juice were available.

The opposite end of the car where extra luggage storage space is available next to the bathroom.

The modern "restaurant on rails" of the Superliner II Diner!

The center area of the car where the dumbwaiter is located. The dumbwaiter is used to transport the food from the downstairs kitchen upstairs to the seating area for quicker access to it. It also saves a trip up a flight of stairs with food in hand!

Another view of the center service area.

The Superliner Diner has seating on both ends of the car.

BACK TO TOP:

The Refurbished Superliner I Sleeping Car Roomette, set up for day use.

The 2 seats fold down into a bed "box spring" if you will and another "mattress" is placed over the 2 seats when set up for sleeping.

Despite its small size, the bed is actually quite comfortable!

Orange Juice and bottled water for sleeper passengers available anytime (while supplies last).

LEFT: The sink that folds out from the wall, the "table" the towel at the bottom of the photo is sitting on is the cover for the toilet. RIGHT: One of the 2 seats when set up for day travel. Funny, that Palm Pilot broke at some point on the trip and that cell phone and suitcase made their final Amtrak journey on this trip before being retired!
