This year's trip saw me take a record number of photos at just over 1,500! There's always photos in a trip this big that don't really fit into any one category but nonetheless I still want to include in the travelogue, so you'll see those photos here! These cover a little bit of everything, enjoy! |

Yours truly at Buffalo-Depew Station holding up the first ticket of an eventual 6 on what would be the start of my last trip using
paper tickets. Amtrak has since converted to electronic ticketing so this trip has some historical significance for me! |

The inside of Amtrak Heritage Diner #8532 which was on the train the night I left Buffalo on this trip. This is known as the
Temoinsa interior
with the green and pink decor throughout the car. |

A 2012 Toyota Camry LE which was my rental car in Sandusky, OH this year.
I have no idea how a rental car with Texas plates ended up in Ohio! |
The Fairfield Inn By Marriott which for the third year in a row, was my hotel while in Sandusky. This is one of the nicest hotels in the area! |
The 2012 Nissan Quest minivan which was my ride while in La Plata, MO. This was not my first choice for a vehicle since I was travelling
alone but this was all Enterprise had available. To their credit though, I was still charged the rate for a Standard Size vehicle which was
cheaper and was given a full tank of gas at no charge. I have no idea how a rental car with South Dakota plates ended up in Missouri! |
The Holiday Inn Express in San Luis Obispo which was my hotel for my overnight stay there. They have a really good breakfast!!! |
A 2012 Ford Fusion SEL which was my rental car in California. This one had California plates on it unlike my first 2 cars that
had plates for states other than Missouri and Ohio! |
The Gaviota Tunnel on US Highway 101 as taken from the Gaviota Rest Area. |
The Courtyard By Marriott Hotel in Oxnard, my "home base" for 4 nights while in California. This is my favorite hotel chain! |

Well, after 14 days on this incredible trip, it's time for me go home. Due to time constraints, I had to fly back, and chose to fly on Southwest Airlines. For some closing thoughts about this journey that I'll never forget, click in the link below... |
