Amtrak California Pacific Surfliner Train #1790 at San Luis Obispo which will be heading for points towards Los Angeles and San Diego.
Heading to LA, the train operates in "push mode" with the locomotive suppling power from the rear and a cab control car on the front.

The beach along with the Lompoc-Surf Station are actually located on Vandenberg Air Force Base but are open to the public.
