Photos Taken On Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited

Arriving at Sandusky, OH is Amtrak Train #49 at 7:33am, right at sunrise is Amtrak Train #49 - The Lake Shore Limited.
This train's lateness ended up being a blessing as I would ride all the way to Chicago in daylight!!!

Crossing another NS line at CP-242 just west of Sandusky.

Now riding along Sandusky Bay getting close to the Bay Bridge, one of two bridges I would ride over
on this trip that are named "Bay Bridge", the other in San Francisco!

A view of Cedar Point from the other side of Sandusky Bay shortly after sunrise as the sun was out of view of this photo.

This photo makes me think of the song "Sunrise" by Norah Jones! And to think I would have missed
this beautiful sunrise on Sandusky Bay had the train been on time!

I'd love to have a summer home in this area!

Crossing the CSX Toledo Terminal Sub at CP-285, this is a former C&O line at what is known as Vickers Junction in Northwoood, OH.

Toledo Union Passenger Terminal. As evidenced by this photo, there were at one time a lot of passenger trains that stopped here including
the New York Central's 20th Century Limited. Today, two of Amtrak's routes stop here, the Lake Shore Limited and Capitol Limited.

The pedestrian bridge located just west of Toledo station. I took a photo of the Amtrak 40th Anniversary Exhibit Train from this
bridge on a road trip out here back in May 2012! It's always interesting to see a railfanning spot from onboard the train!

Now outta Toledo and it's time for breakfast!!! This morning I had Pancakes and Pork Sausage Patties with Breakfast Potatoes
(not shown) and a Diet Pepsi, all good eats in a Heritage Diner!

Crossing the NS Huntington District at Butler, IN at CP-358 as viewed from inside a Heritage Diner.
