Built by Pullman-Standard in 1947 for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway as a round-end observation car with an original configuration of 1 Double Bedroom, 4 Drawing Rooms, and a Round-end Observation Lounge. The car was one of four built for the "Super Chief". The round end was modified for mid-train service in 1956. Private owners added a small buffet kitchen and a shower in 1994. The car was donated to the Arizona Railway Museum by Fred & Dale Springer and is operated by the museum. Historical Information about this car provided by AAPRCO. |
