Built by Pullman-Standard in 1954 for the Canadian National Railway's "Super Continental", named "Mount Resplendent" and numbered 1092. The car's original configuration was a Sleeper-Buffet-Lounge with 1 Drawing room and 2 Compartments. The car was reconfigured to a 3 Drawing Room-5 Compartment Sleeper and renamed "Mount Resplendent" and renumebred 1104. The car also operated on VIA Rail Canada in 1978. In 1982, the car was rebuilt with 3 bedrooms, buffet and lounge and the name shortened to "Resplendent". The car eventually end up in private ownership and wa rebuilt between 1993 and 95 by its first private owner. Current owner acquired the car in 1997 and refurbished it in 2000, renaming it Louisville & Nashville "Oliver Hazard Perry".
