This car started as a regular Superliner I Dining Car and was converted into a Diner/Lounge car to support a food service initiative called "Cross Country Café" where the car would serve as both a lounge and diner. The concept was only rolled out on a few trains and these cars today are used as regular dining cars for the most part. The three windows that appear to be plated over are only for show as Superliner Dining Cars never had windows in the center of the car as that is where the upstairs work area is located. |
