Just one of my "creative" shots framing a tree around the train! |

On the morning of the actual event, after Train #49 - The Lake Shore Limited left, a decision was made to move the train to
track #1 at the station so it would be closer to the station doors. This necessitated backing the train out onto the mainline
then
pulling back into the station on track #1. |
The exhibit train now on track #1 for today's events! |
The #822 shortly after being moved to track #1. |

This HO scale model railroad was a big hit at the show! I love that phase I-painted Amtrak P42! |
A couple GE AC6000CW's on the layout. |
There was a second HO scale layout also at the show, this one with a "Pepsi-Can" P32-8BWH locomotive leading an Amtrak train! |
Don't adjust your monitor, that is an HO scale drive-in theater complete with a
functioning movie screen (thanks to a modified portable DVD player)! |
An O scale layout featuring Amtrak trains! |
The trackless steam train was a hit with lots of younger railfans! |

Norfolk Southern provided Operation Lifesaver-painted GP38-2 #5337 for today's events.
This unit was built in 1977 as Conrail #8170. |
More Norfolk Southern action from the pedestrian bridge. |

Another one of my "creative" shots using the tree to frame the train! |

Wow! Conrail and BNSF had speeders??? I guess you learn something new everyday! Just kidding! These 3 speeders were
on display for the show. I like the Conrail one the best myself, having grown up with Conrail in Western New York!

Well, I had to prove I was here, so here goes: LEFT: Me standing next to the F40! RIGHT: Me standing next to the P40! |
I keep hearing Tom Petty's song "The Waiting" while standing in line to go tour the train! The wait to get in was about a half hour. |
