Built in 1980 as a 74 seat coach and numbered 34067. This car was taken out of service after it incurred damage from issues with a water heater in Raton, NM in February 2002. The car was stored until being repaired using funding provided by the California Department Of Transportation. In October 2008, the car was renumbered 34967 after being repaired and named "Sycamore Grove", it now features 80 seats in the upper level of the car and operates on state-sponsored routes in California. At some point after the top photo was taken, this car was repainted into the Amtrak California paint scheme (without a name but with the same number) similar to cars used on San Joaquins and Capital Corridor trains in the San Francisco Bay area.
