Built by St. Louis Car in 1953 for the United States Army as an Army Ambulance Car and originally numbered 89539. Conveyed to Amtrak in 1971 and converted to a cafeteria lounge car in March 1974 and numbered 3409. Converted to Head-End Power from Steam Heat in May 1980 and renumbered 3104. Sold in April 1995 to the State of North Carolina. Converted to a Bag/Lounge/Vending/Bike car by the Delaware Car Company for the NCDOT and renumbered 400202 and named "Albermarle Sound".
