Built by St. Louis Car in 1952 for the United States Army as an Army Ambulance Car and originally numbered 89507. Conveyed to Amtrak in 1971 and converted to a cafeteria lounge car in April 1974 and numbered 3401. Converted to Head-End Power from Steam Heat in April 1980 and renumbered 3102. Sold in June 2005 to the State of North Carolina. Converted to a Bag/Lounge/Vending/Bike car by the Delaware Car Company for the NCDOT and renumbered 400201 and named "Pamlico Sound".
