North Carolina D.O.T. Coach #400010

Built by St. Louis Car in 1965 as a 45 seat coach for the Union Pacific Railroad and numbered 5538. Conveyed to Amtrak in 1971 and numbered 4578. Converted to Head-End Power from Steam Heat in August 1979 and renumbered 4612. Sold in January 1996 to the State of North Carolina and later refurbished by the Delaware Car Company. The car was initially numbered 400007 and named "Box Turtle". In 2010, the car was renumbered 400010, keeping the same name and today features 56 seats.
