Built by Budd as 10 Roomette-6 Double Bedroom Sleeping Car for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1950. Numbered 1406 and named "Pacific Cape". Conveyed to Amtrak in 1971 and numbered 2604 keeping its original name. . Converted to Head-End Power from Steam Heat in January 1980 and renumbered 2891. Converted to a Crew Dorm/Lounge car in January 1999 and renumbered 2521. Converted to a Company Service Car used by Amtrak's Office Of Inspector General and renamed "Pacific Patrol" in April 2008 and renumbered 10021.
